Amplifying SDG 8 Through Global Partnerships and Pledges
Share
HeARTs on a Mission (HOAM) is not just a movement — it’s a creative revolution. Rooted in the belief that art can be a catalyst for systemic change, HOAM leverages the universal language of creativity to address some of the world’s most urgent issues. Through its global initiative, Freedom Pompom, HOAM brings the symbolic and strategic fight against modern-day slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and child exploitation to the forefront — aligned powerfully with the goals of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8).
At the heart of the campaign is the White Pompom — a soft yet striking symbol of freedom. It is not just worn — it is pledged with, it is shared, and it is passed on. Each pompom represents a voice raised, a life protected, and a future reclaimed.
Recognized as a global symbol of freedom by the Global Sustainability Network (GSN) in January 2025, the White Pompom inspires people from all walks of life to stand against exploitation and advocate for decent work, economic growth, and human dignity — the core tenets of SDG 8.
Global Partnerships: From Art to Action
HOAM’s approach is intersectional, collaborative, and highly scalable. By forging meaningful partnerships with:
● NGOs and international development agencies
● Corporates and CSR arms
● Schools, universities, and educators
● Creative networks and grassroots Changemakers
Freedom Pompom embeds advocacy into daily culture and corporate conscience. Whether through awareness campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, educational pledges, or creative exhibitions, the campaign becomes a vessel through which partners extend their values into measurable action.

Pledges That Turn Symbolism into Commitment
The power of the Freedom Pompom lies in its integration of symbolism with accountability. Through both digital and in-person pledge platforms, individuals and institutions are invited to make a commitment:
“I pledge to create a world where slavery has no space. I wear this for freedom.”

These pledges are documented, displayed, and amplified through social media and HOAM's digital mosaic of change — becoming a global narrative of resistance, resilience, and responsibility.

Amplifying SDG 8: Impact in Motion
By weaving together storytelling, symbolism, and stakeholder engagement, HOAM’s Freedom Pompom campaign directly supports and scales the objectives of SDG 8:
● Target 8.7: Eradicating forced labor, ending modern slavery and human trafficking
● Target 8.5: Achieving full and productive employment and decent work for all
● Target 8.b: Promoting youth employment and empowerment through education and visibility
Every campaign action — from a pompom worn at a UN summit, to a classroom pledge, to a global livestream — becomes part of a collective movement grounded in real-world policy and human-centered change.

Together, We Bring Change to the World
HeARTs on a Mission and the Freedom Pompom campaign represent more than advocacy. They are a living, breathing ecosystem of solidarity — where art becomes a tool, a pledge becomes a promise, and partners become co-authors of change.
Together, we are not just amplifying SDG 8 —
We are embodying it.
One pompom. One pledge. One world.
